How to conduct an effective meeting

Watch the video presentation and finish off the following
sentences:
1. Don’t have a
meeting unless clear purpose.
a. Set objectives –
what’s the meeting for?
2. Do you want
decision, action or feedback?
What do you want to have achieved at end?
3. Provide an
agenda before the meeting. People could
be allocate topic to prepare beforehand to get them involved.
And prioritize the list of items to be done. Keep the agenda
short and make sure that every item has a purpose.
4. Set times for
each topic and stick to them. Close the
Discussion when the time up.
5. Start and end on
time. Don’t wait around for people who are late. They assume that the meetings
always start late. And don’t let the meeting drag on after finish time.
6. Capture action
points. Make sure that every ones clear has been discussed, that everyone is
clear what needs to be done and who’s going to do it.
Circulate a summary after meeting. If there are no action
points, then what was the purpose of the meeting?
